Meet The Staff

NICOLE – OFFICE MANAGER

Nicole is our Office Manager. She has been in the dental field for over 35 years and with this practice since 1998. She enjoys fostering relationships with the rest of our staff and considers them an extended family.

She has been an integral part of the office’s growth and has enjoyed watching it flourish over the last 20+ years. Nicole especially loves interacting with our patients and helping them with all of their insurance, billing, and treatment plan options.

She and her husband are empty-nesters who enjoy traveling, making memories with their son and his girlfriend, and family get-togethers.

Fun Fact: Nicole and her husband have 6 cats. She is well on her way to being a crazy cat lady!

JOE – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Joe started with our practice in 2009. His work is mostly behind the scenes – working with insurance companies and in the laboratory. He is also our resident computer expert.

When not at work Joe enjoys gaming and spending time with his girlfriend, their 3 kitty cats, and family.

Fun Fact: Joe is a huge Harry Potter fan!

OSCAR – OFFICE MASCOT

Oscar is a 90-pound boxer mix that Dr. Fay adopted from the SPCA in 2019. He makes the long trek down to the office with Dr. Fay a few times a week and loves to hang out in the lunchroom looking for treats! The staff absolutely adores Oscar and he is our “occupational therapy dog”.

ALEXA – FRONT DESK

Alexa has been with our office at the front desk since 2020, but a patient here for many years. She is currently being cross-trained to help in the clinical lab as well. Alexa and her husband Kevin share 3 beautiful kids and 2 doggies.

She enjoys spending time with family, going wine tasting, eating yummy food, and having a good lazy rainy day.

Fun Fact: Alexa is a huge theme park fan and roller coaster aficionado.

DAWN – FRONT DESK

Dawn has been with us at the front desk since 2021. She came with over 15 years of medical experience. She is the mom of one amazing daughter, 2 wonderful sons, and 2 cat babies Lion and Tiger.
Dawn and her fiance love football, food, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, tasting new foods, and binge-watching the latest trending TV shows.

Fun Fact: Dawn is a huge Eagles football fan.

CAITLYN – FRONT DESK

Caitlyn comes to us with 2 years of Dental Front Desk experience. She loves helping the patients as well as the staff. She is a mom to a clever little boy and 2 fur babies, Milo and Lola. In her free time Caitlyn enjoys playing softball for a local Co-Ed slow-pitch league.

Fun Fact: Caitlyn once trained to race flat track motorcycles!

STEPHANIE B. – REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST

STEPHANIE J. – REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST

After deciding to further her education and graduating in 2018 with her Dental Hygiene degree, Stephanie started in our office as a temporary hygienist to help out when we needed her. We immediately fell in love with her and when we expanded, we asked Stephanie to become a permanent part of our team.

Stephanie is thrilled to have the opportunity to start her hygiene career with Dr. Fay and Dr. Moeller and is excellent with our patients.

She enjoys her free time with her daughter and fiancé making day trips to the beach and spending time with family.

Fun Fact: Stephanie won the 2018 Delaware State Dental Society Dental Hygiene Student of the Year Award!

DEE- DENTAL HYGIENIST

Dee has rejoined our practice after a 3-year hiatus that took her to Boston, MA as a Territory Manager for Crest & Oral-B. Prior to that, she provided Dental Hygiene care to our patients here for 30 years. She also spent 21 years as Adjunct Faculty for the Dental Hygiene program at DTCC and taught Dental Assisting at Polytech Adult Education.

She is a 1983 graduate of Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene in Boston and completed her Bachelor of Science at Thomas Jefferson University in 1992.

Dee’s passion for clinical Dental Hygiene and her desire to be back closer to her family is what brought her back to Delaware. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team again!

Fun Fact: Dee loves to cook, especially using herbs grown in her own garden.

PENNY – DENTAL HYGIENIST

Penny has been a Dental Hygienist for 30-plus years. She received her associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Allegany College of Maryland in 1990 And her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland in 1993. She loves being a Dental Hygienist and can not imagine doing any other career.

Penny was a substitute in our office until a full-time position became available. She was overjoyed to join our team and we are thrilled to have her. She and her husband have two grown daughters that they love to visit in Virginia and Rhode Island. They enjoy football, traveling, cooking, and walking their dogs.

FUN FACT: Penny is a big Navy Football Fan!

TINA – EXPANDED FUNCTION DENTAL ASSISTANT/CLINICAL COORDINATOR

Tina has been in the dental field for over 30 years and started with us in 2005. Tina loves helping our patients feel better about themselves by helping them feel better about their smiles, relaxing anxious patients, and starting our youngest patients with a stellar experience so they look forward to their visits with us.

She adores her co-workers and enjoys the family atmosphere of our practice. She wears many hats here, including being the practice OSHA Compliance Officer, and works closely with the Doctors and Nicole to keep the office running efficiently.

In her free time Tina, her husband, and kids love to camp, fish, travel, and hike. She also likes to spend time with family.

Fun Fact: Tina is the baby of 10 siblings. 7 sisters and 2 brothers! Due to their Military upbringing, the family was stationed in the Philippines for 4 years! She also holds a Delaware Cosmetology license.

SHELBY – DENTAL ASSISTANT

Shelby joined our practice in July of 2022. She graduated from Deltech Wilmington campus in 2015 and worked with children at a pediatric dental office before joining our team. Her favorite part of dentistry is learning something new every day!

Shelby hails from Maryland’s Eastern Shore where she lives on her family’s 200-acre farm.

Fun Fact: When not working Shelby’s favorite pastime is boating with her family on the Chesapeake Bay!

MELANIE (MUFF) – STERILIZATION COORDINATOR

Melanie joined our practice in 1988. She is responsible for running our sterilization area and making sure all of the Assistants and Doctors have the correct instruments for each procedure.

She has formed many friendships with our patients in the 30+ years she has been with us. Our joke is that when she’s too old to work, she’ll just come in and be our greeter! She is a devoted employee.

Melanie has a weakness for her 4 beautiful grandbabies, is very grateful that 2 of them live close but also loves traveling to see her son and his family in Tennessee.

Fun Fact: Melanie thinks the four food groups are candy, candy canes, candy corn, and corn syrup. She is a choco/candyholic, so it’s a good thing she works for a dentist!

Marsha – Office Pet

Marsha is an African Sideneck Turtle. She was given to us by a family of patients who were deployed to England and had to leave her behind. She enjoys swimming around, sunbathing under her heat lamp, and has a voracious appetite. She will even swim over and eat right out of your hand! Marsha has become a favorite of our patients, especially the kids!
